Over two interactive sessions, we’ll dive into the essentials of AI, introduce you to prompt engineering, and showcase practical tools to make teaching with AI productive and engaging. You’ll also gain access to resources designed to support your students in understanding AI responsibly and ethically.

Session 1:
AI as the Educator’s Ally This session introduces AI as a supportive tool in the educational landscape, equipping teachers with practical knowledge to integrate AI into their workflows.
By the end of this session, attendees will:
- Gain a clear understanding of Artificial Intelligence, exploring foundational concepts to demystify its applications in everyday life and education.
- Learn how AI can enhance productivity in teaching by exploring tools and techniques for efficient task management and creative problem-solving.
- Begin applying AI tools that assist in lesson planning, grading, and other administrative tasks, making room for more interactive and engaging teaching experiences.
Session 2:
Educating for AI Literacy This session focuses on bringing AI education to the classroom, empowering teachers to guide students in understanding AI responsibly and ethically.
By the end of this session, attendees will:
- Explore strategies for introducing AI concepts to students through interactive, project-based, and discussion-led activities that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
- Learn about ethical considerations surrounding AI and gain insights on how to facilitate meaningful discussions around responsible AI use.
- Access resources that support building AI literacy, allowing students to explore the role of AI in society and understand its potential impact on their future.
Facilitator: Corey Hughes (Dream Space Program Manager) and a series of STEM Educators and AI experts as they discuss how AI can be incorporated into your classroom and teaching.
